Safety Information

You must assume responsibility for your own safety and there are many decisions that affect your safety when kayaking or canoeing.

  1. You must be in good physical condition and MUST be able to swim.
  2. You must wear your life vest at all times on the river and while swimming. Any outdoor activity poses inherent hazards and risks, including but not limited to serious and permanent injury and death. In addition, adverse weather and river conditions can pose additional hazards and risks. Through your participation, you are knowingly assuming the risks that arise out of that activity.
  3. All participants are required to sign a liability and consent form prior to their trip. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature. We do not assume liability for personal injuries or death, or for loss of, or damage to, personal property.
  4. River conditions can vary. Paddle at your own risk. We will not travel if river conditions are unsafe.
