NEW for 2021

Open everyday from May 1st thru October 24th.  Reservations are required on weekdays with 24 hour notice, weekend reservations are suggested but not required.

Please call our shop at (570)388-6107 to make a reservation.

New for 2021- plan your trip with an overnight camping stop right at our location.  Tent sites with fire ring, table, chairs, water available and potties on site for $12.00 per person. Located adjacent to our shop so your equipment is safe and secure and only 200 yards from the river access.  You can leave your vehicle at our shop with your belongings so you don’t have to paddle on the river with your overnight equipment and food.  With a convenience store within walking distance supplying food and items you may have forgotten this makes a great stay for the entire family.  Reservations required.

saturday 1st

May 1st- Kayaking 101 with Art Coolbaugh.  We will launch from the Falls park and learn to paddle up and down stream, learn how to enter and exit your craft, paddling secrets for a strong headwind and how to avoid obstacles in the water.  What to do if your craft capsizes and learn how to read the moving water and plan your own trip.  Cost is $25.00 and includes all equipment, transportation. Reservations are required and lesson begins at 1:00pm

sunday 2nd

May 2nd– Float and Feast on Lake Winola with Nonni’s Lakeside Café.  Meet at the Lake Winola boat lauch at 10:30, we will take a 2 hour paddle around the lake and return to the launch and walk to the café for a relaxing lunch under the Pavilion.  Cost is $55/single, $100/tandem or canoe, and $30/to bring your own craft.  The cost does include lunch and a beverage at the café.  Reservations are required.

May15th– Celebrate Armed Forces Day by honoring all our Military personnel as we say THANK YOU for your service and treat them to a free trip with military ID. Call to make your reservations today.

OR treat them to our first Wine TOUR WITH BARTOLAI WINERY.  Meet at our shop at 11:30am where we will transport you to the West Falls Launch to begin our 5 mile 2 ½ hour trip.  We will depart at the Appletree Launch where our van will transport us to the Bartolai winery pavilion for a tasting and snacks. Our van will then return you to our shop.  All military will receive at 10% discount on any wine purchases. Cost is $50/kayak, $90/tandem kayak or canoe, $35to bring your own craft.  Reservations are required.

May 16th- Eagle watch float from Whites Ferry to West Falls.  Our nesting pair of eagles and their eaglets can be viewed from atop your craft without disturbing them in their natural beauty.  Meet at the shop at 10:30am  and our trip will be complete by 1:00 pm.  Cost is $45.00/single  $65.00/double or canoe and $20 to bring your own.

saturday 22nd

May 22nd-Cruise and Brew to the Nimble Hill Growler Den.  Meet at Tunkhannock’s Riverside Park at 11:00 am where we will begin our cruise down this 6 mile downstream stretch to White‘s Ferry boat launch.  Our shuttle will pick us up and deliver us back to Riverside Park where we will make our way to the Growler Den for a tasting of a flight of 4 craft beers and snacks prepared by our restaurant.  Cost is $60.00/kayak, $90.00/tandem or canoe, $35 to bring your own craft and reservations are required.  Check out Nimble Hill Brewing Company online at www.nimblehill.com

May 22nd-23rd Kayak and camp weekend at Susquehanna Shores Campground Falls Pa.  Make your camping reservations with Brian and Sonja at the campground and receive a 10% discount on the campsite as well as your kayak trip.  We will pick you up at the campground at 9:30 am and transport you to Tunkhannock where you will have a 11 mile paddle approximately 5 hour trip back to the campground. We will pick up your Craft and you can return to your campsite for an relaxing night by the campfire.  Cost of the trip is $50.00/kayak or $75.00/tandem or canoe, $20.00 to bring your own craft. May 28th-Flower full moon float trip. Our first full moon trip of the 2020 season.  Meet at our shop at 7:30 where we weill transport you to the launch site and return to a bonfire when we exit.  Bring your favorite snack and beverages to enjoy after the float while making new friends around the fire.  Reservations are required.  Cost is $50.00/kayak or $80.00/ tandem or canoe.  If you are bringing your own craft the cost is $25.00.  Be sure to bring a flashlight and bag chair for the fire. May30th-Yak and Yoga/ Meditation and Mindfulness with Rivertop Wellness and Nimble Hill

Join us the last Sunday of each month, Meet us at Tunkhannock’s Riverside Park at 12:30 where we will shuttle you to the beautiful Howland Preserve to begin our 5 mile downstream paddle back to the park.  This trip takes us thru the beautiful Endless Mountains in about 2 hours.  Upon arriving at the park we will enjoy a 45 minute yoga session and 15 minutes of meditation and mindfulness training with Rivertop Wellness as well as a wine tasting with Nimble Hill at the Gym.  Cost is $70/person single kayak, $120/ tandem or canoe or $50 to bring your own craft. June 6th– RESTORE AND REPLENISH with Motion yoga and Wellness Yak and Yoga.  Meet at our shop at 9:30am where our shuttle will take us to the launch site with your matt.  We will begin our 4 mile, 2 hour paddle downstream to an area where we will get out and have a guided relaxation meditation and flow that will gently warm your muscles, while introducing you to various relaxation techniques.  Our movement will guide opening in the shoulders, spine and hips introducing more strength and flexibility for use in everyday life.  Each class will end with meditation and restorative poses designed to ease anxiety, trouble sleeping, or disruptions of the mind.  Join us in the warm summer sun for a full mind-body connection immersed in the sounds and sights of nature. Following our session we will jump back in the kayak and finish our trip with another ½ mile paddle to the exit point.  Upon completion we will have a tasting by Barnyard Cidery with cheese and crackers. $65/single, $100/tandem or canoe, and $45 to bring your own. June 26th-Kayak and Brewery tour at Susquehanna Brewing Company.  Meet at the SBC parking lot at 10:00am where our shuttles will take us to the Appletree boat launch in Harding.  We will begin our float and paddle to just north of the Fort Jenkins Bridge and depart so our shuttle can deliver us back to SBC. We will be treated to a flight tasting of 4 craft brewed beers, snacks, as well as a tour of the facility. Cost is $70.00/single, $100.00/tandem kayak or canoe, $40.00 to bring your own craft.  Cost includes tasting and snacks too! Reservations Required

July 10th Endless Mountains Heritage Region paddle for the Tunkhannock Historical Society. Meet at the West Falls launch at 9:30 am.  We will shuttle you to Tunkhannock’s Riverside Park to launch by 11:00 following a presentation by the Historical Society.  This 10 mile paddle winds thru the Endless Mountains where we will have a stop at the Whites Ferry Launch for a break and local historian Richard Fitzsimmons will take us back to the importance of the ferry’s along our journey as well as point out some areas where native tribes once made their camp. From there its on to West Falls for our departure where County Commissioner Rick Wilbur will greet us and lead us to the Fall’s Lion’s Club Chicken BBQ in the Park with a beer tasting from our local Nimble Hill Brewing Company.  Once again we will continue our discussion on the historical significance of the area. Cost is $60 to bring your own craft, $100.00 per single, all of which includes transportation, rentals, dinner, wine tasting, presentations, and donation to the Historical Society of Wyoming County.

July 15th– Kayak and Karaoke with the Pittston Chamber of Commerce and Susquehanna Brewing Company.  Meet at SBC parking lot at 3:30 where we will shuttle you to the Appletree boat launch in Harding.  We will begin our float to Pittston and exit the river just north of the Fort Jenkins Bridge.  Our shuttles will deliver us back to SBC where snacks will be served and a cash bar in the tasting room.  Karaoke begins shortly after our arrival, a great break from the daily grind and a way to meet fellow business leaders in our community.  Cost is $25.00 per single kayak, $50.00for a tandem kayak or canoe, and $20.00 to bring your own craft. July 29th– Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce after hours “Water Trail to Ale Paddle”  Join us for a relaxing paddle from Tunkhannock to Whites Ferry, a six mile 2 ½ hour paddle through the endless mountains.  Meet at 4:30 at the Whites Ferry Launch where we will transport you to Tunkhannock where we will begin our paddle back to Whites Ferry. Once complete we will meet up at  Nimble Hill Brewing for a flight tasting and snacks. August 1st  “Sunshine and Dine” with our Sunrise Paddle at Lake Winola and a hearty breakfast at Noni’s Lakeside Café to follow.  Meet at the Lake Winola public boat launch at 5:00am, sunrise is at 5:57am, we will launch and begin our 2 hour paddle while the sunrises, once around the lake we will walk to the café and enjoy breakfast under the pavilion.  Cost is $55.00/single, $100.00 tandem or canoe, $30.00 to bring your own craft. sunday 8th

August 8th– Paint and Paddle with Canvas Creations.  Meet at our shop at 1:00 pm where we will transport you to the Whites Ferry boat launch for our trip to begin. This beautiful 4 mile, 1 ½ hour stretch will end at the Falls Park where we will depart and begin our  2 hour pre-drawn canvas painting with Amanda.  Water and snacks will be provided to enjoy while creating your masterpiece.

August 14th-”Kayak for Camp Archbald fundraiser” Meet at our shop at 9:30 am for registration. Join our fundraising efforts by attending this 9 mile paddle from White’s Ferry launch to Appletree launch with a stop for lunch at the Falls park.  Obtain donations for each mile you paddle to help the cause.  Our trip will take approximately 4 ½ hours and our shuttle will pick us up and deliver us to the park pavilion where we will have snacks, beverages, and share in great fellowship.  Reservations are required and cost is $50.00/single kayak, $70.00/tandem or canoe, and $30.00 to bring your own craft.  Download the sponsor sheet from our website or call for details.  Reservations Required by calling the shop.

August 14th thru September 4th-  Take $10.00 off any trip with a valid student ID.  Paddlers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations required any day of the week.

August 21st- Our 4th Annual “FALL’S SUMMER CELEBRATION” AND KAYAK POKER RUN.  A day packed full of outdoor celebrations, come for the poker run but stay for the day and enjoy the fireworks at dusk.  Cost is $30.00 if you have your own craft, and $50.00/kayak, $75.00/tandem or canoe. Meet at our shop at 12:00 noon and our shuttle will take us to White’s Ferry boat launch where you will receive your first card and we will start our trip.  We will stop at 3 additional locations along the voyage to pick up cards and at our final exit location pick up the final card.  If you have the best hand you win the pot, $5.00 from each registration goes to the pot and $5.00 will be donated to the Association to defray costs of the fireworks display.  When we get off the river enjoy activities in the park including our Lions Club Chicken BBQ, live music, beer and wine sampling, and finish the day by watching the fireworks at dusk.  Reservations are required.

August 27-28-29-Wyoming Valley Riverfest. www.riverfront parks.org  Choose from one of our trips beginning Friday evening and concluding on Sunday.

Friday- Pick up the shuttle at the Rielly Parking Lot on Market St. in Kingston at 4:00 pm. Our shuttle will take us to West Pittston to launch our 7 mile paddle approximately 2 ½ hour trip to Nesbitt park arriving at sunset. Cost $45/kayak, $60/tandem or canoe, $25.00 to bring your own.

Saturday-Pick up the shuttle at the Rielly Parking Lot on Market St in Kingston at 7:30am.  Our shuttle will take us to the Appletree launch in Harding where we will begin our 14 mile trip back to Nesbitt park. We will stop at the halfway point in West Pittston where restrooms and water will be available for our paddlers.  When we arrive in Nesbitt Park you will be greeted to outdoor exhibits, music, and food vendors.  Cost $45/kayak, $60/tandem or Canoe, $25.00 to bring your own.

Sunday-Pick up the shuttle at the Hunlock Creek boat launch at 7:30am.  Our shuttle will take us to Nesbitt Park in Kingston where we will begin our 14 mile trip to Hunlocks Creek. This trip will take us thru the Nanticoke rapids which will challenge all of the paddlers.  We do not take tandem kayaks or canoes on this trip.  Cost is $45/kayak, $25.00 to bring your own.

**You must register with an outfitter to attend any of the trips prior to the event in order to reserve shuttles and t-shirts for all paddlers.  If you choose to bring your own craft, outfitters do not move your craft but the shuttle will take all registered paddlers

September 18th-Plains Proud Kayak fundraiser.  Meet at the Plains kayak launch at 9:30am where we will load up and depart for our launch point at Appletree launch in Harding.  We will begin our 10 mile paddle at 11:00 am floating thru Pittston and West Pittston taking a break on Wintermoot Island our halfway point.  During our stop we will have the opportunity to hear a local historian talk about the Knox mine disaster. We complete our paddle approximately 3:00 at the Plains launch where we’ll have a light lunch, live music and great camaraderie.  A portion of the registration will benefit The Plainsville Flats Ray Condo Memorial River Boat Launch Project.  Cost $60.00/single, $100/ tandem $25/ to bring your own craft.  Reservations are required

saturday 18th

September 18th-Harvest Moon Full Moon Float. Meet at our shop at 6:30pm where we will transport you to the launch site and return to a riverside bonfire when we exit.  Bring your favorite snack and beverages to enjoy after the float while making new friends around the bonfire.  Cost is $50.00/single kayak, $80.00/tandem kayak or canoe and $25.00 to bring your own craft.  Be sure to bring a flashlight and bag chair for the bonfire.  Reservations required.

September19th-Kayak wine tour tour to Bartolai Winery.  Meet at our shop at 11:30 am where we will load up and depart from the West Falls Launch at noon.  Kayak the 5 mile trip to Appletree boat launch where our shuttle will pick us up and take us to the winery Pavilion for a tasting and snacks.  Cost is $50.00/kayak, and $90.00/tandem or canoe.  If you bring your own craft the cost is $35.00.  Reservations are required.  www.bartolaiwinery.com

September 25th  -Kayak and Brewry tour at Susquehanna Brewing Company.  Meet at the SBC parking lot at 10:00am where our shuttles will take us to the Appletree boat launch in Harding.  We will begin our float and paddle to just north of the Fort Jenkins Bridge and depart so our shuttle can deliver us back to SBC. We will be treated to a flight tasting of 4 craft brewed beers, sncaks provided  as well as a tour of the facility. Cost is $70.00/single, $100.00/tandem kayak or canoe, $40.00 to bring your own craft.  Cost includes tasting and snacks too!

September 26th– Kayak for a Cause sponsored by The Falls Lions Club.    

Join our fundraising efforts by joining us for a 9 mile paddle from Whites Ferry to Harding with a stop for lunch at the Falls Park. We will meet at the West Falls Launch at 10:00 am.  Get donations for each mile you paddle to help our cause.  Our trip will take approximately 4 ½ hours and our shuttle will pick us up and deliver us to the Falls park pavilion where we will have snacks, beverages, and share in great fellowship.  Reservations are required and cost is $50.00/kayak, $70.00/tandem or canoe, and $25.00 to bring your own craft.  Download the sponsor sheet from our website or call for details.

October 2nd – Cruise and Brew to the Nimble Hill Growler Den.  Meet at Tunkhannock’s Riverside Park at 11:00am where we will begin our 6 mile paddle to the White’s Ferry boat launch. Our shuttle will pick us up and deliver us back to the Park where we will make our way to the Growler Den for a tasting of a flight of 4 craft beers and snacks.  Cost is $65.00/kayak, $90.00/tandem or canoe, $35.00/ to bring your own craft and reservations are required.  Check out Nimble Hill Brewing Company at www.nimblehill.com

sunday 10th

October 10th– Fall Foliage Tour- Meet at Tunkhannock Riverside Park at 9:30 and our shuttle will deliver us to the Meshoppen boat launch to begin our 12 mile paddle back to Riverside Park.  Traveling thru the Vosburg Neck during the fall we will experience bald eagles, flaming fall foliage, and we will stop for a lunch at the Howland Preserve.  Bring your binoculars, water, lunch, and sun screen.  Cost is $50.00/kayak, $75.00/tandem or canoe, and $25.00 to bring your own craft.  Reservations are required.

 

saturday 16th

October 16th– Fall Foliage Paint and Paddle with Amanda Coleman.  Meet at our shop at 1:00 pm where we will transport you to the Whites Ferry boat launch for our trip to begin. This beautiful 4 mile, 1 ½ hour stretch will end at the Falls Park where we will depart and begin our  2 hour pre-drawn canvas painting with Amanda.  Water and snacks will be provided to enjoy while creating your masterpiece.

$60/single kayak, $100/tandem kayak or canoe, $40/ to bring your own craft.  Reservations required.

October 17th – Fall Foliage Kayak wine Tour- Experience the Fall colors from the river, Meet at our shop at 11:30am where our shuttle will deliver us to the West Falls boat launch for a noon departure.  Our 5 mile, 2 hour trip will conclude at the Appletree boat launch where our shuttle will pick us up and deliver us to the winery Pavilion for a tasting and snacks provided.  Cost is $50.00/kayak, $90.00/tandem or canoe, and $35.00 to bring your own craft.  Reservations are required.
