New for 2022- plan your trip with an overnight camping stop right at our location. Tent sites with fire ring and potties on site for $12.00 per person, located adjacent to our shop so your equipment is safe and secure and only 200 yards from the river access. You can leave your vehicle at our shop with your belongings so you don’t have to paddle on the river with your overnight equipment and food. With a convenience store within walking distance supplying food and items you may have forgotten this makes a great stay for the entire family.
Have your own Kayak or Canoe and need transportation from your exit point to your launch point??? Give us a call and make a reservation date and time for pick up. All boats MUST have a valid launch sticker from the PA Fish and Boat Commission or DCNR. Cost is $20.00 for one boat and $12.00 for each additional boat.

April 30th- It’s been a long winter, celebrate the opening of the season with ½ price rentals all day. Camp with us in the evening and enjoy a bonfire with hotdogs and smores with our staff.

May 1st- Kayaking 101 with Art Coolbaugh. We will launch from the Falls park and learn to paddle up and down stream, learn how to enter and exit your craft, paddling secrets for a strong headwind and how to avoid obstacles in the water. What to do if your craft capsizes and learn how to read the moving water and plan your own trip. Cost is $25.00 and includes all equipment, transportation. Reservations are required and lesson begins at 1:00pm
saturday 7th
May 7th- Eagle watch float from Whites Ferry to West Falls. Our nesting pair of eagles and their eaglets can be viewed from atop your craft without disturbing them in their natural beauty. Meet at the shop at 10:30am and our trip will be complete by 1:00 pm. Cost is $45.00/single $75.00/double or canoe and $25 to bring your own craft.

May 14th- Lackawanna Riverfest. Call to rent your kayak or canoe register by calling our shop at (570)388-6107 this event is by reservation only to enter the race, or meet us at the festival and take one of our guided 3 mile trips from Wells St. to Sweeney’s Beach for just $35 per kayak with a portion of the proceeds going to the Lackawanna River Corridor Association. Trips are at 1:00 and 3:00 pm. Stop at Riverfest and enjoy the exhibits, music, and vendors.

Meet at our shop at 9:30am where we will transport you and your equipment upstream 4 miles to White’s Ferry launch to begin our 2 hour trip. Relax and enjoy the scenery while floating to the West Falls Launch where your guided relaxation meditation and flow that will gently warm your muscles, while introducing you to various relaxation techniques. Our movement will guide opening in the shoulders, spine and hips introducing more strength and flexibility for use in everyday life. Each class will end with meditation and restorative poses designed to ease anxiety, trouble sleeping, or disruptions of the mind. Reservations are required by calling our shop to register. Cost is $60.00/single kayak, $120.00 tandem or canoe, and $40.00 to bring your own craft.

Make your camping reservations with Brian and Sonja at the campground and receive a 10% discount on the campsite as well as your kayak trip. We will pick you up at the campground at 9:30 am and transport you to Tunkhannock where you will have a 11 mile paddle approximately 5 hour trip back to the campground. Friday- Pick up the shuttle at the Rielly Parking Lot on Market St. in Kingston at 4:00 pm. Our shuttle will take us to West Pittston to launch our 7 mile paddle approximately 2 ½ hour trip to Nesbitt park arriving at sunset. Cost $45/kayak, $60/tandem or canoe, $25.00 to bring your own.
Saturday-Pick up the shuttle at the Rielly Parking Lot on Market St in Kingston at 8:00am. Our shuttle will take us to the Appletree launch in Harding where we will begin our 14 mile trip back to Nesbitt park. We will stop at the halfway point in West Pittston where restrooms and water will be available for our paddlers. When we arrive in Nesbitt Park you will be greeted to outdoor exhibits, music, and food vendors. Cost $45/kayak, $60/tandem or Canoe, $25.00 to bring your own.
**You must register with an outfitter to attend any of the trips prior to the event in order to reserve shuttles and t-shirts for all paddlers. If you choose to bring your own craft, outfitters do not move your craft but the shuttle will take all registered paddlers.

September 17th- Plains Proud Kayak Fundraiser. Meet at the Plains kayak launch at 9:30 am where we will shuttle to our launch point in Harding. We will begin our 10 mile paddle at 11:00am floating thru West Pittston, Pittston on our way to Wintermoot Island our halfway point. During our stop a local historian will take us back to the Knox Mine Disaster and the events that took place that day. We will complete our paddle approximately 3:00 at the Plains launch where we will have light refreshments and great camaraderie. Traveling thru the Vosburg Neck during the fall we will experience bald eagles, flaming fall foliage, and we will stop for a lunch at the Howland Preserve. Bring your binoculars, water, lunch, and sun screen. Cost is $50.00/kayak, $100.00/tandem or canoe, and $30.00 to bring your own craft. Reservations are required.

October 23rd- Fall Foliage Kayak Wine Tour- Experience the Fall colors from the river, Meet at our shop at 11:30am where our shuttle will deliver us to the West Falls boat launch for a noon departure. Our 5 mile, 2 hour trip will conclude at the Appletree boat launch where our shuttle will pick us up and deliver us to our grove for a tasting and snacks provided. Cost is $50.00/kayak, $100.00/tandem or canoe, and $35.00 to bring your own craft. Reservations are required.

October 30th-Used Kayak Sale. The sale will start at 10:00 am and conclude at 2:00pm. All Kayaks and canoes will be on sale and priced according to their manufactured date and condition.
